I’ve been using the NEMO Hornet OSMO 2P for four seasons now…

I’ve been using the NEMO Hornet OSMO 2P for four seasons now, and it’s become a reliable part of my backpacking setup. Here’s my take after plenty of nights on the trail:

Weight & Packability:
At just over 2 lbs, this tent is impressively light for a two-person shelter. It packs down small, making it a great option for longer trips where every ounce counts. You can also split the tent poles and stakes into one bag and cinch the tent bag down really small which is convenient for when you and a friend are splitting the weight.

Setup:
The tent is extremely easy to pitch thanks to its single-pole hub system. Even after a long hike, I can have it up in just a couple of minutes without any fuss.

Space & Comfort:
For two people, the interior is snug but thoughtfully designed. The dual vestibules add extra storage space, and the two doors are a huge advantage…no crawling over your partner in the middle of the night. And there is plenty of room if it’s just you and your favorite furry adventure buddy!

Weather Performance:
I’ve used it in everything from heavy rain to chilly alpine nights, and it’s held up well. The OSMO fabric does a great job of balancing breathability with weather protection, and I’ve had minimal issues with condensation compared to other ultralight tents.

Durability:
After four seasons of use, the tent is still in excellent shape. The materials feel strong despite being lightweight, and I haven’t had any issues with broken poles.

The NEMO Hornet OSMO is a fantastic option for backpackers who want to go ultralight without giving up comfort and convenience. After four seasons of use, I still trust it as my go-to tent for the backcountry.
